Audiopian respects copyright. We don’t host or store music recordings — backing tracks play through YouTube’s embedded player, and lyrics come from the third-party database lrclib.net. We don’t control those sources, but we will act on valid notices about anything surfaced through Audiopian.

1. Reporting alleged infringement

If you own (or are authorized to act for the owner of) a copyrighted work and believe material made available through Audiopian infringes it, send a written notice to our designated contact at dmca@audiopian.com that includes all of the following, as required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  3. identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (for example, the song title and artist, and where in Audiopian it appears);
  4. your contact information (name, address, telephone, and email);
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

2. What we’ll do

On receipt of a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material within our control — for example, suppressing a song’s lyrics or preventing it from being surfaced in Audiopian. Because the backing-track recordings are hosted and streamed by YouTube, a notice about a recording itself should also be sent to YouTube/Google, who can address the source.

3. A note on lyrics

Lyrics displayed in Audiopian are retrieved from lrclib.net, a third-party database. We can suppress a work’s lyrics within Audiopian on a valid notice; you may also wish to contact lrclib about the source entry.

4. Counter-notice

If you believe material of yours was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@audiopian.com including: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and phone number; and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., the district where the operator is located) and to accept service of process from the complaining party.

5. Repeat infringers

We may limit or block access for users who are the subject of repeat valid infringement notices, where applicable.

6. Misuse

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages. Please only file if you have a good-faith belief.
